The Efficio team wishes everyone a Happy New Year and a prosperous 2009!
Reason One - Start Up
We don’t recommend getting into to much debt the first three years of business because it takes a while to determine if your business will be around past three years or even five years. When I first started a business in 96' it took me 5 years to launch the business I have now, Effició. If I had debt those first three years, I probably wouldn’t be as successful as I’m am today. I had my part-time job until 2001 and still did freelance work not related to Effició until 2003. You just have to do what you have to do.
Reason Two – Expansion
Moving to a new office, acquiring new employees, investing in new equipment- evidently this would indicate growth so you would be able to show positive margins and a plan to pay back the money in a specified time. So loans, or lines of credit would be good for expansion.
Reason Three - Project
In collaboration on a contracted job or maybe you land a big client. You will base your decision to acquire financing to support your contracted job and/or clients on how long it will take for you to get paid. I know a business associate of mine that took on an add’l $50K in debt to work on a big project. Unfortunately, they had a rough year and the project did not pay the $75k fee until completion which took 8 months. So be careful with this one.
There are many reasons to acquire financing, these are the top three reasons we see most often among our clients. Whatever your reason, just make sure your projections and strategic planning support your ability to repay any financing in a timely manner.
To wealth and prosperity!

These positions are independent contractor positions and no

ongoing work and building a small sales team to reach out to the small
business communities
across the globe.
My
team and I will be holding an informational session on December 2nd at
8pm Eastern. Just join the call to hear about the project and the opportunity to

Many people ask, “Sherese, how do you continue to thrive even in a down economy?” The truth is, although I’m thriving, times are still tough. The challenges of keeping our profit margins on track keeps me on my toes and reveals that the foundation I've built works!
